In Word 2010, how can I manipulate the borders of a table on a per-border basis. For example, let's say I have a 5x5 table, and I only want to add a border on the right side of cell (2, 3). How can I do that?

Select the relevant cell(s). On the Format menu, click Borders and Shading. Click the preview picture to select and deselect borders as desired.

Hmm... doesn't seem to do anything. I click on the cell to select it, right-click, select border and shading, select box, click OK and now outline appears around the cell.

Could it depend on the type of table? It was imported into word from a website.

EDIT: never mind; I failed to recognize there is an option in the borders and shading dialog. When I select box I can choose whether it applies to the whole table or just the current cell.
