Default Word 2010 save to new location

Hi, Hope someone can help
I have opened a Word 2010 document from our company Intranet and saved it to my local My Documents and renamed.

When I reopen the document from My Documents it is still linked to the original Intranet Location.

Can someone tell me what setting I need to change to allow me to save to My Documents removing the link to the original location

Cheers YD

How are you opening the document? From a list of recent files (in Windows or Word)? In that case, most likely the link is wrong. If you navigate to the local folder on your computer you should be able to open the local copy of the file.

Do you mean as a file attachment or as a link in an email?

Issue resolved - the document had been set up as a template with links to the source drive
