Trouble with Outline formatting
Im trying to format a word notebook document using very specific levels for my outline structure. The levels are I. A. 1. etc. and i have customized one to my needs in the bullet and numbering folder.
The problem is every time i tab, or demote to create another level (for instance i have typed my "I. Heading" press enter and tab because i want to create "A. text", it automatically reverts me to the default bullet style numbering, which i must change back using the formatting pallet. Is there anyway i can promote and demote headings freely within my desired format without having to use the formatting pallet to change it back to my format. |

See How to create numbered headings or outline numbering in Word 2007 and Word 2010. Follow the directions to the letter. You can format these styles to meet your needs. Doing outline numbering any other way is asking for frustration, at a minimum.
