Double Page Numbering for Thesis
Someone please help or let me know if this isn't possible! I am compiling my thesis and it includes a manual. The manual is its own document and already numbered, but I also need each of those pages to be numbered with the rest of the thesis. Is it possible to to have two numbers on one page? I've tried sections breaks and everything else, but nothing is working.
For example: Thesis is 40 pages, Manual is 80 pages I need the combined thesis to be numbered 1-120 at the top right then, I need page 41 to 120 to also have page numbers 1-80 on the bottom center I hope this makes sense. I can't figure out how to do it. And I'm wondering if I am going to have to input the pages manually. Thank you in advance for any suggestions! |

Hi realuv,
If your Manual document has only one Section, the Manual's 'X of Y' numbering can be achieved by using: • a field coded as {={PAGE}-40 \# 0} for the 'X' part; and • a {SECTIONPAGES} field for the 'Y' part. Note: The field brace pairs (ie '{ }') for the above example are created via Ctrl-F9 - you can't simply type them or copy & paste them from this message.
