Losing charts in Word document
I got Windows for Mac 2011 and have been using it to edit a document created by someone else, probably in another version of Word. The original author's graphics are not visible anymore. Every time my Word closes—which is frequently, because of crashing, a topic for another thread—they disappear. There is the outline of an item, but none of the content. If I paste it back in from the original document, it disappears again when I close and reopen the document. This happens even if I check the compatibility box when I save. Any ideas? |

Hi sweetpotater,
I suspect that what might have happend in that the graphics were formatted as 'floating' (eg square) and have gotten themselves repositioned outside the page boundaries. You could use a macro to convert them all back to in-line, which would make them visible again. After that, you could re-do the 'floating' positioning to where they should be.
