Word conversion from open office to ms word
Hi,
We are using a software in which we merge the word 2003 (with software specific codes) to fill in the information from the system to msword 2003. This is a thrid party software application and uses xMerge. During this process, in the background it converts the word 2003 document to open office format and then changes it back to word 2003. so the final output is in word 2003 as required, however, few of the features of msword 2003 becomes disabled. one which i have noticed are: 1) If the certain text was highlighted earlier in lets say green color, now you cannot use the highlight feature to remove the color. 2) Table styles banded rows and banded columns options have become disabled. Is there a way we can resolve this issue? |

You probably want to talk to the people who designed your software. It is impossible for someone here to guess what that software is doing in creating your end document.
Note that conversion processes are notoriously inaccurate and tend to produce directly-formatted documents. |
