Default Loss of web links when copy/paste

For some reason, now, when I copy and paste text with web page links, the links are removed (blue linked text turned black, no hover-over, no link).

This works whether using the mouse or Cntr C/v. However, I can still drag linked text within the document and linkage remains (for whatever that's worth). This may be something beyond Word because I can't copy/paste to another document or an email for example, as I had been able to.

Any ideas?
Thanks

Check your paste options in Word. You may have changed the default paste to text only.

Thanks Charles but I've discovered the problem exists in other programs, browsers, etc. Appears to be a computer wide/XP issue.
