How do I NOT number certain pages in the footer?
I have created a document with and inserted page numbers into the footer. By using the section breaks I was able to create the 2 numbering formats that I wanted to use... roman numeras at the start, and regular numbers for the rest.
Problem is that there are some blank pages I've insterted throughout and I DO NOT want those pages to be numbered at all...as if they didn't even exist. I've tried creating a section break for each of the blank pages, but it always ends up inserting a new blank page with a number on it, after my own blank page, and thereby defeats the purpose. When I try to delete the created blank page, it deletes it, but then leaves my original blank page there with the original number still on it...back at square one. How can I get MS Word 2007 to stop recognizing those blank pages, yet leave my numbering on the pages that have text? |

You need to have Next Page Section breaks before your blank pages, at least. If you configure the Sections with a 'different first page' layout, you can then make the first page in the Section (ie your blank page) un-numbered.
