Default How do I get rid of a grid in Word?

Whoops - I posted this in office instead of here. Sorry! Somehow I added a a grid to Word when I was trying to design a chart. The grid looks a lot like graph paper - blue lines making up small squares from margin to margin, top to bottom. Now it's there all the time, even when I start a new document or re-start Word. How to I get rid of it, or default back to original settings? Thanks

On the View tab, click to clear the "Gridlines" option (in the Show group).
