Default Problem with copy paste

Greetings,

I have been struggling with the copy paste option within MS2010. I reïnstalled W7 64 bit, including MS2010 ultimate. I would like to copy paste a text with mark up (like text color, headings, fonts) - but unfortunately, the text will be copied as plain text.

Example: I would like to copy paste the text from this news source: http://www.nytimes.com/2012/03/28/us...ef=todayspaper (including images):

http://prntscr.com/7hhta

To a new Word document: http://prntscr.com/7hhtt
It will be pasted as plain text: http://prntscr.com/7hhu0

Any idea how to fix this problem?

I'm having a similar problem with excel but don'tknow if it is related to this. Don't know what I did cos it was working before but now when you copy cells in excel there are no moving lines (marching ants) so it doesn't paste all the formats or formulas, etc. In fact you can't even insert copied rows...
Anyone out there with some help?

When you paste, do you see a paste icon (clipboard) next to the pasted text? If so, click it and you should see a radio button that says Keep source formatting.

If you don't see that box then click the Office Button upper left, and then click Word Options at the bottom. When the menu shows up, click Advanced, and then in the Cut, copy, and paste section select the Show Paste Options buttons check box. Click OK. and you should be able to get that option when you paste text.

Hi folks,

It seems a recent Skype Click-to-Call browser add-in is causing problems like your pasting issues on many systems. If you have that, you may need to disable or uninstall this add-in until Skype releases a fix.
