merging documents in macro page no
I needed to create documents merging few other documents. So I create a folder that contains all the documents. Using the main document template I created different documents. These documents are created in Microsoft word 2003.
The main document is a word document that breaks in to section. It has a cover page then table of contents after that it have sections. Each section has a cover page followed by a blank page then the start of first page. So by using macros different documents was inserted in to each section. For some sections one document and for other sections we inserted more than one document. My question is related to page numbering. I want each section to start from page 1-1, 1-2. How do I do that using the main document template? In main document template section number is included in page number. But when documents are inserted to create a new document each section start from one (1) instead of 1-1. |

Hi Rose_Garden,
Page numbering like 1-1, 1-2, requires that you use a chapter numbering system. See: http://word.mvps.org/FAQs/Numbering/ChapterNumber.htm
