how to recover word files

If any body can help me out, last week my system get crashed which was having some confidential word files, so is there any way to get back data.

Hi waker,

On its own, a system crash is unlikely to damage your files. However, if you've reinstalled your system before recovering the data, then the data will be gone. In any event, you should be keeping backups of all important files.
