Default Pasting into 'Normal' template

Hello,

Newbie to the forum here so hello and thanks in advance for any help I may get.

I've just changed our 'normal' template to contain all of my company's styles (font etc.).

I am trying to find a short way of changing the rest of our templates to match this without having to change the style in every one. I need to do this because my staff are pretty IT illiterate and the templates keep reverting to Arial.

I tried C+P into the new normal template but that just seems to bring the old formats with it.

is there a way around this?

Sorry for being a bit muddled but its difficult to explain.
