Default Cannot Copy and Paste Word 2010 Tables

  1. Create Table OK with numbers and colors.
  2. Select/Table > table highlighted
  3. Select Copy/Paste > only numbers display (no cells or colors)
(see attached "Cut, copy and paste" settings)

Hi jtech,

Do you have word configured to show formatting and table gridlines?

Hi jtech,

It seems a recent Skype Click-to-Call browser add-in is causing problems like this on many systems. If you have that, you may need to disable or uninstall this add-in until Skype releases a fix.

Default Copy/Paste Word table fails: close IE

For what it's worth, I was (seemingly) randomly encountering the copy/paste fail with tables. I selectively closed everything I was running and found IE (version 8) to be the culprit. Once I closed it I could copy/paste at will. When I started it back up, c/p fail. And so on, every time.

Have you tried repairing your IE installation? See: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/318378

Also, have you checked for the offending Skype addin on your system?

Default Thanks for the fix!

Macropod, you've cleared up something that's been troubling me mightily for several days. I would never have made the connection between installing Skype and the change in pasting tables. I'm so grateful!
