Default Fonts error when I used 2 types of fonts in 1 file

If I post this thread in wrong palce, Moderators please help me move it into right place. Thanks.

I have one file word. I typed text in Vietnamese (I come from Viet Nam). When I used character three dots (...), quotes (""), parentheses ('')... immediately it turns into square box. I have to highlight it and select the font is arial each time

How can I fix this problem? Thanks for any comments.

Regards,

Hi cmengenie,

That suggests the font you're using doesn't support those characters. Is it a standard Windows/Office font?

Thanks you much. I thought like you said. But with some other computers, Word displays no error when I try to do the same work. That means it happens just on my computer. But I can not find out how. I am using 1 font commonly in my country: .vntime.ttf (attached following). Regards,

Hi cmengenie,

That isn't a standard Windows font, but it does seem to support the characters you say you're having trouble with. It may be that the copy installed on your system is corrupt, or not properly registered in Windows. Try uninstalling, then re-installing the font.
