Funky Page Break
I’m trying to find out what the following symbol is, how it gets into a document, and (most importantly) how to get rid of it: ▪¶ (yes, it's a black square next to a paragraph mark). After clicking the “Show/Hide” button on the ribbon, a Word 2010 user here at my plant found the symbol imbedded in her document causing an unwanted page break: ▪¶. Neither of us has any idea how the symbol got there; nothing either of us could figure out made the page break go away. We finally gave up and she submitted the document to her boss with the funky page break. |

Hi Moleque,
What you're seeing is probably the tag MS uses to show that the paragraph has a special formatting attribute, such as 'Keep with Next' or 'Page Break Before'. See under Parapgraph > Line and Page breaks.
