placing linked Excel cells in Word next to a chart
Hi
I have a Word document (Word 2010) that has a chart in it that is linked to Excel. I would like to put three linked cells from Excel that display numbers next to the top right of the chart to the right of the chart years (2006-2008: see screen in attachment). Does anyone know how to place these linked cells on the top right of this chart? Paul |

Hi Paul,
You could position a textbox over the chart and insert the Excel links into that.

I can add a textbox over the chart, however, I cannot seem to link that textbox to an Excel cell--it is purely text entered in Word. Do you know of a way to either link the textbox or embed a linked cell in the textbox?

Hi Paul,
How are you trying to put the link into the textbox? One way is to copy the data in Excel, then paste it into the textbox as a link.

Thanks Macropod. I see you can paste an Excel cell in a textbox. Thanks a lot.
