For the affected section, you must set the placement of endnotes to "End of section" and then select "Suppress endnotes" (in the Page Setup dialog box). To insert a TOC and specify the heading levels that you want, select and deselect styles as appropriate in the Table of Contents Options dialog: On the References tab, click Table of Contents | Insert Table of Contents, and then click the Options button.
