Default Viewing/Hiding Tracked changes

Hellooo!

We want to be able to hide tracked changes in a word document, send it to a client, then receive it back viewing their changes as well as our old changes.

I understand you need to accept/reject changes but we want to be able to see them for future reference. Is there any way to do this?

You can't prevent the client from seeing the tracked changes, if that's what you're asking, unless you actually accept (or reject) them. Perhaps you could save a copy of the document, prior to the client's changes, for reference?

Thats what I thought. We wanted to be able to keep the tracked changes hidden so the client couldnt see but so that we could refer back to them at a later date. I understand that you have to accept or reject the changes, you cant switch between views?

Well, you can change your preferred view, but you can't force it onto someone else.
