Hanging indent within a numbered list?
Is it possible to do a hanging indent within a numbered list? So that all lines of text within a number or bullet subsequent to the first would have an additional indent? Want it to look something like the following:
1. This is the first line of text ______this would be the second and all subsequent lines 2. This is the next item in the list ____ represents spaces Thanks! |

Yes. Click to select the actual paragraph number. Then right-click and click Adjust List Indents on the context menu. Make sure that "Follow number with," is set to "Tab character." Then specify a smaller value for "Add tab stop at" than for "Text indent." When you are done, click OK to close the dialog box. Note that some trial and error may be required to find the appropriate values.
