Default scaling problems

I am facing an issue related to the space between letters when I am scaling my document form 100% to 200% or more. The more I scale the document to a superior scale view, the more the spaces between letters are increasing. However, this process is arbitrary, because sometimes this change doesn't take place. Moreover, the same problem appears when I transform the Word 2007 document into PDF document.

Are you referring to a printed output or on screen?

Hi bestgepeto,

You may be able to improve the screen display by checking/unchecking Word's 'Optimise character positioning for layout rather than readability' option. See under Word Options|Advanced > Display.

As for the printout, unless there's something really odd about your printer driver (and this could affect the display too), there is nothing that changing the view scale can do that would affect the print layout.
