Default Word 2002 vs Word 2007

Looking for your opinion on Word 2007
Hi I have Word 2002 on my computer and have used 2002 and 2003 in the past...I am using Learnkey to learn Word 2007. I am trying to figure out what all these changes mean...the ribbon, and the way the organization of Word 2007 is, and also, the Quick Styles as opposed to Styles.
Do you think the program is easier to use than the older versions, the way it is organized? Are the quick styles and the templates and themes easier to use? I haven't gotten to the mail merge yet; wonder if that is easier to use than the older version.
Thanks!!!
