How about the fact your Section break could all too easily be deleted or that a user might start typing before it...

You still haven't explained why you believe you need such a Section break. Simply saying "it didn't give me the expected results" is singularly uninformative. There is nothing you can achieve with such an arrangement that cannot be achieved more simply without it.

Thank you for persisting. I tried your suggestion and it works. Hurrah. I just needed to put page numbering into the second page as well as the first and everything is great. So much simpler and risk free. I really appreciate your care. Maren
PS How do I make an automatic sign-off like yours?
