Default Custom label template

Hi,

I am a graphic designer, and I am trying to help a colleague streamline the process they use to print name tags.

I have learned how to compile information from three separate columns in Excel (first and last name, company name) into one column. I copy and paste that column into Word, and am currently working out the best solution to get the names from that list to populate a name tag template. The name tag template involves using an Avery label template setup for the Mail Merge, but I want to utilize a specific background that places our company logo at the bottom center of each label area. I created the background image file as a PDF and inserted that into a Word doc and tried to arrange the merged list info into a table that sits on top of the image background -- it's been very frustrating. Does anyone know a way to achieve a centered graphic within each cell of a label template, that appears as the list info is merged into the template?

Am I making ANY sense at all? LOL...I've been at this for days. I got really close yesterday but when I went to print the document, only the names printed and not the graphics. *sigh* Please help if you can! I'll be your best friend

Janelle
