Error File in Word

Using Word 2007 -- Word encounters a problem with a file and will eventually close down. when I try to open the file again Word indicates that the file caused a problem previously. I delete the file. Word will NOT let me use the file name again as it keeps indicating the file caused a problem previously. Question - How can I use the file name again and have Word recognize the file is now a good file?

The problem could be with an owner file (sometimes called a "lock" file) left over from the crash. Such a file is created when you edit a Word document, and it has a similar name as the document but the file name starts with ~$. Display hidden files in Windows and delete the file. I tried what you suggested and what the link suggested but the issue still remains. If you have any other suggestion please advise.
