Default Template does not display in Installed Templates

I copied a template to C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\Templates\1033. When I click the Office Button > New > Installed Templates, the template is not there even though it is in the folder. There must be something I'm doing wrong. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you.

You should place the template in the user templates folder as listed in the File Locations dialog box (to open the dialog box, click the File Locations button in Office button | Word Options | Advanced).
