linking or something?
I want to be able to switch something in one spot in my document and have it switch in another as well. I've tried several ways of doing it from stuff i've read online, but nothing seems to work right.
Is there an easy way to do this?? For example. My document refers to the property address of a property multiple times. I'd like to be able to change it on the title page and have it change every where else in the report. Thanks for any help! |

With the document open pres Ctrl+H (Or go to "Edit" and then "Replace"). Type in what you want to find, then type in what you want to replace it with. When ready click on "Replace All" and it will change that word or phrase everywhere in the document to what you decided to replace it with.

Thanks. I am aware of search and replace, but was hoping for something more sophisticated. Possibly linked to an excel file (i can't ever get that to work. always screws up eventually)
