I own a few "pro" fonts, for which there are separate fonts for normal, bold, italic, and bold italic.
These fonts are *different* than the font that ends up being used when i simply use Word's "bold" feature. Oddly enough, Word seems to switch between Italic fonts without any problem. For a visual example of this issue, see the attached PDF. My normal font is Adobe Garamond Pro. I'd like my normal Bold font to be Adobe Garamond Pro Bold. Is there any way to set a Word default to do that? |

Hi hammarlundlaw,
Actually, the Garamond font included with Word uses separate font files for the normal, bold and italic characters. It should do likewise with Adobe's Garamond Pro font if it's installed correctly. Other than whatever the subtle differences are between an italicised/bolded regular font and and the italics/bold fonts, though, you won't see any indication in Word as to which is being used.
