multiple text boxes collapse on move
I'm in the publishing print view and I've created a row of three text boxes with some content that I want to copy & paste to make many rows of that down the page.
Here's what I'm doing: 1. select the three text boxes 2. copy 3. click elsewhere on the page, and paste 4. move the newly pasted text boxes to the position where i want them to be at this point, when I release the mouse button after moving the text boxes, Word collapses the the left and right box onto the center so they are all overlapping, instead of maintaining the same relative positions they had while I dragged them. I recently upgraded to Office 2011 for mac and I don't think this ever happened to me with the 2003 version I had before. Help? |

grouping doesn't work either
By the way, I tried to group them and then copy as a group but when I group them, the two boxes on the right disappear and I only see the box on the left (even though the boundary for the group is where it should be to contain all three)
This didn't happen to me in Word 2003 either. |

Hi apricoti,
I wouldn't expect the boxes' relationship to change after the copy/paste either, but I only have the PC version of Word to play with. It may be that Mac Word behaves differently - you might make more progress if you ask in a Mac-specific Word forum.
