Word 2003 Indexes
Hi
ADMIN NOTE: Moved from General Forum Sorry I'm posting this in the wrong section but for some reason every time I try to post in the word group I have to log in. I try logging in and it takes me back to the log in prompt. If possible could an admin move this to the word specific spection of the site please? It's just a quick question about indexes, I've been trying to google the question and am not getting anywhere. I am trying to create a index on a word 2003 doc which will have an idex at the start indexing all words and which page and line they are on. If I haven't made myself clear feel free to ask any questions. Thanks for taking a look at my problem and I would be very greatful if someone could point me in the right direction. Yes, everything including words like the most common word such as 'the'.

See the following two links on how to create a concordance, and how to use that to make an index of all words.
One Two That looks like a real project - once you've finished it, could I ask you to post what you did and how it worked - I'd be interested to see if I could create some VBA code to follow through the steps in case it needed doing again! Oh - and here's a link to a bit of code to help with the Excel stage. |
