Default how to edit the header layout?

Hi all,

I want to create a custom header, for example I want to change line colors and thicknesses. Is it a way for accomplishing it?

Thanks

Double-click the header area to activate the header/footer view. You can then alter the formatting the way you would in an "ordinary" paragraph in the main body of the document.

Hi,
thanks for your reply. Unfortunately I can change the color, but it doesn't change. I can change only the border layout.

I suggest you attach a sample of your document so we can see the problem in action. Be sure to remove any sensitive data from it before uploading.

Which color are you changing? Does it look correctly in Print Preview (pressing Ctrl+F2 switches to Print Preview, pressing ESC switches back to your previous view)?

Unfortunately it doesn't look properly. I change the border color for the hearder, instead I don't know hot to change the footnote line.
I'm attaching the docx file. Thanks!

There is nothing apparently strange in the file you attached. You'll have to describe in detail what you are trying to accomplish and how it fails.

Assuming that you mean footer rather than footnote, do the following: Double-click the footer to activate the header/footer view. Place the insertion point in the first paragraph of the footer (for example, in the word "Title"). On the Header & Footer Tools Design tab, click the Page Border button (in the Page Background group) and then click the Borders tab of the dialog box. Make sure "Apply to" says "Paragraph." Select the color that you want and then click in the preview picture to add the new color. Click OK.
