How to set default line spacing along with font.

Hi,



I have just found this forum and it looks brilliant.



I wonder if you can help me. I am trying to set a default font. Verdana 11 and regular, this is easy.



Does any one know how to set the default spacing between the lines to 1.5. It is really annonying that you can hit on a single buttone to get default verdana 11 regular but you have to manually set manually the line spacing to 1.5. I am using MSword 2003.


I hope somebody can help it is so annoying and time wasting, many thanks, Ceira.

On the Format menu, click Styles and Formatting. In the task pane, locate the Normal style. Right-click it and choose Modify from the context menu. In the Modify Style dialog box, click Format, Paragraph. Specify the desired line spacing. Before clicking OK, select "Add to template." If/when you are prompted to save the Normal template, choose to do so.

Stupid question.....where is the Format Menu?

In Word 2007 there is no Format menu, or no main menu bar at all, for that matter.

To change the defaults, do the following: Create a new, blank document, for example by pressing Ctrl+N. In the Styles pane (Ctrl+Alt+Shift+S), click the Manage Styles button. On the Set Defaults tab, make the desired changes. Select "New documents based on this template" and then click OK.
