Word is extremly slowdown

Hello All,



Currently I am using Word 2007 and working as a Technical Writer. I have a document which have almost 100 pages. It includes data along with tables and images.
Now my job is to format and make necessary changes. And, I noticed that Word is running very slowly. I don't know the reason. Please somebody guide me or suggest how to resolve these issues..

While running the word document you try to close the unwanted applications running in the system and then check, might be your system causing the problem.Because I'm also using the same version, handling a 300 pages file with no problem.

Thank you so much for your reply. Yes as you said I have already closed the heavy applications just a mozila browsers is always opens. So, I don't think because of the other open apps Word performs slowly. But one thing is clear that My laptop is also slow so may be it is a reason of slow...
