Help with numbering in MS Word 2007
I am having trouble working with styles within MS Word for numbering.
I have created new styles as follows: 1. Text (a) Text (b) Text The problem starts when I move to 2 and so on. 2. Text (c) Text (d) Text (e) Text 3. Text (f) Text (g) Text (h) Text I want the numbering to start as a new list each time, so instead it will read: 2. Text (a) Text (b) Text (c) Text 3. Text (a) Text (b) Text (c) Text ...and so on. I'm sure there must be a simple resolution to this issue but I have not yet found it, help would be GREATLY appreciated. |

Hi teanne,
You need to change the secondary Style's list level from level 1 to level 2. You do this via the 'Numbering' dropdown on the Ribbon's Home tab.

You can also (in addition to what Paul has provided) the "Format Painter" and then the "Restart at " to set the level of numbering please, see the attached screenshots best Jamal
