Open link without pressing Ctrl first & no warning prompt.
In Microsoft Word, I can put links: Either the whole HTTP mess or make an individual word a link.
To open the link, I have to first press Ctrl and then click: I didn’t want this. I got the answer for this problem: I tools, options, edit, Uncheck Use CTRL + click to follow hyperlink. I fixed it and now I get a prompt (warning) that some files might not be safe etc. I don’t want this either. I just want to click on the link, without any monkey business, and open it. What must I do? |

Hi jmdraft,
For the first issue, go to Tools|Options|Edit and uncheck the 'Use Ctrl-click to follow hyperlink' option. For the second issue, see: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/829072

“How to back up and restore the registry in Windows”
Where is the backup stored? Thank you, In reference to: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/829072 Important This section, method, or task contains steps that tell you how to modify the registry. However, serious problems might occur if you modify the registry incorrectly. Therefore, make sure that you follow these steps carefully. For added protection, back up the registry before you modify it. Then, you can restore the registry if a problem occurs. For more information about how to back up and restore the registry, click the following article number to view the article in the Microsoft Knowledge Base: 322756 How to back up and restore the registry in Windows When you do the back up, where (file-location on computer) does this back up go, or, are you prompted to select a place to put it?
