Hi shreked,

You're using the document & template terminology in a way that is quite different to how those terms apply to Word. In Word, documents do not contain templates; there can be multiple templates but each document is built from a single template and multiple documents can have the same template. The normal way of choosing which kind of document to create is to choose the appropriate template as its base.

Aside from that, your post suggests you have a document with multiple Sections and you want the user to be able to choose which Section to go to. Correct?

Hi shreked,

The correct way to go about creating a new document is to go to File|New|'My Templates' and choose the appropriate template. One hardly needs to be IT savvy to remember that. Having another layer over that to present the users with the same choice isn't going to be an improvement, IMHO. Of course, in a corporate environment, you might want to modify the Word installation so that the plethora of templates available from Office.com aren't visible when you go to File|New.
