Have you tried Open and Repair? From within Word, press Ctrl+O to open the Open dialog box. Locate the problem file and select it. Click the arrow next to the Open button and choose the Open and Repair button.

Hi Aryunis,
Your attachment actually isn't a Word document - despite the extension. It's just a plain text file with many lines of "This is Padding!!". There is nothing that can be repaired in this file.
