Stay on One Page - 100%
Office 2010: I want to ALWAYS view just one page in the center of my monitor at 100%. Clicking on the View menu, one page, 100% does that but then it often reverts back to 2 page view while typing. If I make the Word window smaller, it will stay on one page view, but zoom back to 70% or so.
I simply want to lock Word on one page, 100% view. Surely there has got to be a way of doing this..?? (my wife actually wants me to sell this new laptop because this is driving her crazy!) Thanks Michael |

The zoom shouldn't change when typing, unless you are somehow brushing the touchpad (you could reduce its sensitivity or turn it off completely), or inadverently typing some keyboard combination.
To force a centered page at 100% zoom, place the following macros in Normal.dotm: Sub AutoOpen() With ActiveWindow.View .Type = wdPrintView .Zoom.PageColumns = 1 .Zoom.Percentage = 100 End With End Sub Sub AutoNew() With ActiveWindow.View .Type = wdPrintView .Zoom.PageColumns = 1 .Zoom.Percentage = 100 End With End Sub For assistance, see http://www.gmayor.com/installing_macro.htm.
