I regret my double posting mistake...
Thanks for the advice. I had some difficulty with the proposed solution, which was: "Turn off the Enable Authorization Checking option for the component. This can be done in the MTS Explorer by opening the Properties window for the component and deselecting the enable Authorization Checking option in the Security tab." My action was as follows... Although I don't know what the "MTS Explorer" is, I did a computer search for it. There was no result. I then opened the properties window for the Merriam-Webster, but there was no "Enable Authorization Checking" option visible. (I don't know it this means anything, but I saw that everyone had permission (was allowed) to access the dictionary.) The second possible solution was quite beyond me. ("Assign the Windows NT User ID that is being used to launch the MTS object from the Visual Basic application to one of the Roles authorized to invoke the methods of the MTS object.") If you or anyone else has any futher suggestions, they'd be very welcome. Last edited by M.Hat; 12-29-2011 at 12:03 PM. Reason: Additional comment |
