Run the tool http://sourceforge.net/projects/defe...c.exe/download and hope it can decrypt the files.

no, whole reason I posted is that both versions of the tool do not work for me, key is never found. The only one that worked slightly was the TE33 Decryptor but it only produced a few files. Majority are still corrupt.

Bob G - is there anything that can be done at this point? Have confirmed that the .fcd files are still in place on my PC as you asked. PM me if you can. I do appreciate your assistance.

thanks!
Justin

Jamie, have you tried any tools mentioned in this thread? Many people have recovered their files, although not every one.

I'm here to testify that bob.g is a miracle worker, as far as I'm concerned. Not many will go out of their way to help strangers the way he has. I've got my photos and documents back. Thanks again Bob.

Has anyone come up with a way to recover the files?

A friend of mine sent me a flash drive of the Jpeg files that are showing FileError_22001. I tried the programs here but they all want to work on the file on the effected computer. I'm looking for something that just changes the file back to Jpegs? Anything out there??

Jim

hmm. wait.
do you have:
1. only jpeg files which say fileerror22001? they are completely useless - do not contain any recover information. can't help you if this case - sorry.
OR
2. copy of *.fcd files from CDD/FLD folders:
http://community.norton.com/t5/Norto...001/td-p/51805
these are encrypted copies of files - i can decrypt them.
