Microsoft word 2010 is slow
Hello everyone, My Microsoft word is pretty slow. I generally have to cut large documents up into smaller sections because of the extreme drag when the documents get large. I have read online and it seems so many people are reporting the same thing no matter how powerful there machine is that they are running. Mine is quite powerful. This clearly indicates that the problem lies with word itself. Is it possible that I can install two Microsoft word 2010's on the same computer. When I have a lot of word documents open it also slows down a lot as well. I was thinking maybe I could split up the documents and have one word handling one half and the other the other half Probably a long shot but I am getting desperate. Word 2010 isn't nearly as good as I thought it was going to be. Thank you |

Hi Michael,
The apparent speed at which Word runs can be affected by 3rd-party addins, virus scanners, etc, none of which are under MS's control. I run both Word 2003 and 2010 on my system (sometimes both at the same time) and have no performance issues with either.
