Correct font will not display, Adobe Garamond Pro
I use Adobe Garamond Pro for the main body of all my documents. Many times when I open a previous document, the font will not display on the screen. The Font box say it's Adobe Garamond Pro, but the displayed text is usually Times New Roman.
Here's the kicker: If I open a specific document first and leave it minimized, every other document opened afterward displays Adobe Garamond Pro correctly. Is there a known issue with Word 2007 and specific .OTF fonts? |

Issues with Adobe's OpenType fonts have been reported previously (for example in the Answers forum at Microsoft's site). As far as I know, no resolution has been found.

Thanks! That solves my little mystery. I use Word2007 & Word2010 between work and home, so it was hard to pin down. At least I stumbled on a workaround that works. It's not a major pita, but it's worth it so I can keep using my favorite font.
