Default Printing off many versions of the same document?

Hi,

Sorry if my question is a bit vague.

I want to print certificates for a students’ doing a course.
As there will be many certificates (hundreds) to print I’m looking to set up an efficient way of doing it.

I am looking for advice on possible solutions.

One way I was half thinking about was:

Of setting up a template of some sort.
Maybe a MS word document and have section where the individual data (names, scores.. etc) can be imported from another file such as a spreadsheet.

Suggestions on how I might get started on this or other ways of doing this would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you.

Hi

The easiest way is to use Word's Mail Merge possibility based on an excel spreadsheet.

If you have a list of the students, in a Word table, a database, an Excel spreadsheet, or even a text file, Word's mailmerge facility will let you generate a certificate for each student using your list as the data source. If the list includes addresses etc, in separate columns from the names, you can also produce mailing labels, etc.
