Word Macro calling Excel, back to Word
I have a word macro that calls and Excel macro. But I haven't figured out that once the Excel macro is done, how do I pass control back to the Word instance? And subsequently, after I go back to word, how do I go back to the already existing instance of Excel opened by Word?

I think we need to see what your code is doing.
The Word macro wouldn't just stop because it ran a line that opened Excel so something else must be going on. If you opened Excel with your code, did you set it to be Visible?
