What is the problem?

Microsoft blocks macros from running if the are contained in a file you download or receive via email. You have to unblock by selecting the file in Windows Explorer, right clicking, click Properties, Security and unblock.

Word, by default disables are macros with notification. You can change that behavior in File>Options>Trust Center>Trust Center Settings>Macro settings. I wouldn't advise changing it.

You can avoid the notification by making the file a trusted file or making the file folder a trusted folder.
