"Could not open macro storage"
Greetings,
I have been using certain MS Word macros for many years. They worked just fine yesterday afternoon. They are not working today. I do my project work and use the macros in a "VDI". As needed, I have the same macros on my laptop ("non-VDI"). Today the "non-VDI" macros work -- no issues whatsoever. The same macros in "VDI" do not work. In VDI, I can see the macros listed when I select Developer > Macros in Word; however, I cannot run them or edit them. Instead, the message "Could not open macro storage" is returned. In the VDI version of Word, in Visual Basic Projects, I no longer see the macros, and the Word Normal template is not listed. I have verified that the Normal template file is available in the VDI, but I have zero experience messing with template files. I have read (and tried) suggestions such as changing Trust Center options in Word, etc. These have had no impact. Others on my team run the same macros in VDI. They have reported no problems. Can someone please offer a straightforward explanation of what to do? I am at a loss. Much appreciated. |

I copied the Normal template from my laptop to the VDI folder where the old one was. This seems to have fixed the problem. Question withdrawn.
