I would love to get some feedback from you guys regarding my project:

As you guys have a pinned post with redacting a word document (here), I thought it might be interesting.

It's still under development and there are definitely bugs, and I also want to add some additional features soon.
I'd love to make the code use more subs and functions, but as I haven't fully understood the doc / range objects, it's quite difficult for me. So it's more spaghetti code than I'm used to. (The range.start and range.stop seem to be pointers and their modification might or might not propagate to the parent... this leads to very interesting problems down the road - any hints here are welcome)


What I am looking for:
- Feedback & Bugs, especially regarding performance
- any tips on how to package these files?
- any tips on how to use the Visual Studio / Git ? My current workflow involves a lot of copy and paste
- would it make sense to use look more into using C# or COM (not sure what this is) to achieve better performance?

I've already tried the Word JS API - that's not super useful, as one cannot search for highlighted text... of course one could go through each char, but I'm not sure if the gains in performance are worth it. (I would definitely be faster and could integrate git...)
I've also tried using python and the docx plugin, it works a little, but it really feels like an unstable hack at this point, especially with nested tables and similar edge cases. Also python-docx has some limitations and the repo isn't maintained anymore...

Any pointers on how to improve are very much welcomed!
