Default Macro to check if url exist in word doc

Hi hi
I need help to write a word macro to check if url in the word document exists. So when user open the file, the macro is to first check if the url exist, if url does not exist, message to appear like 'url not exist' and close the file.
Thanks.

You haven't specified which hyperlink to check so I'll just point you at some other threads where people have tested hyperlinks or filepath links
