Default Automating Word from vb.net

Hi

I've coming up against this error message when I'm trying to add some text to bookmarks in a Word doc via automation in visual studio 2022:

I've had it working before and have the ActiveX and Macro settings to 'allow all' in Word, but for some reason it has stopped letting me open up a doc.

I can't add the file path to trusted locations as it won't let me for 'security' reasons - not that this should be needed as I've been able to do this process without making any changes until very recently.

Can anyone suggest a way to get past this please?

Thanks!

Hi

I finally found a solution to this, so I'm posting in case this helps someone.

All I had to do was clear the contents of this folder:

Quote:
C:\Users\(my username)\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Windows\INetcach e\Content.Word
No space in the 'INetcache' bit - for some reason one keeps pasting in.

Once that was done, no more security messages!
