Default Word 365 spellcheck

B4 Ofc 365, opening a .docx using OLE from Access had an obvious Spelling and Grammar check menu option under Review ribbon tab. After Ofc 365, there is no such option.

Instead there is a Review tab that leads to a menu with an Editor option. But opening Word thru OLE and choosing Editor does NOT start spellcheck. Spellcheck only starts if user types something into the docx.

I use OLE to open Word to do a spell check. This has been made more confusing for users since now they must type something into the doc for spelling errors to be counted and checked. Is there any way to get back the previous behavior?
